Vivian Rodriguez is an openly gay Latina woman seeking re-election as a Democratic National Committee member, representing many of Florida’s diverse communities. For over a decade, she has actively served the Florida Democratic Party, holding leadership positions within the DNC Women’s Caucus on the executive committee, the DNC LGBTQ Caucus (as its only Latina Executive Board Member), and the DNC Hispanic Caucus. Her grassroots efforts—included leading the Boricuas Con Kamala Caravana in Central Florida, helping boost voter engagement and support for Democrats up and down the ballot. Professionally, Vivian has worked in two congressional offices, retiring in 2022, from Congressman Darren Soto’s team and is now, the acting Chief of Staff for Palm Beach County Commissioner Joel Flores, the county’s first Latino commissioner. Vivian has contributed her campaign experience to assist in winning several federal, state and local democratic elections.
Within the Florida Democratic Party, Vivian has chaired the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee, served as President of the State Democratic Hispanic Caucus of Florida, and sat on the board of the Florida LGBTQ+ Democratic Caucus. She remains actively involved with community organizations such as the Human Rights Campaign, The Gay Officers Action League, the FL State Hispanic Caucus and LGBTQ+ Caucus. Her commitment to public service and dedication to strengthening the Democratic Party fuel her bid for re-election to the DNC, where she pledges to continue championing inclusion, equity, and representation at every level.
