Judy Mount is a trailblazer in Florida politics, recognized as the only African American to serve as Chair of the Florida Democratic Party (Twice). She also held two terms as First Vice Chair and previously served as the Party’s Treasurer. Beyond these roles, Judy led the Democratic County Chairs Association, the Small County Coalition, and chairwoman Congressional District Two for two terms each, and represented her state as a DNC member and appointed Vice Chair. A history-maker in her own right, she is also the first African American female ever elected in Jackson County.
