Chris Mitchell is a native Floridian with a distinguished career in politics and digital media. He began his political journey volunteering on John Kerry’s presidential campaign and later on President Obama’s historic bid for the presidency. Rising quickly in Democratic Party leadership, Chris was elected Vice Chair of the Hillsborough County Democratic Party and later became its Chair at just 26 years old, making history as the youngest chair of a large major county in Florida. During his tenure from 2010 to 2013, Chris also served on the Florida Association of County Party Chairs, where he collaborated with local leaders statewide to strengthen Democratic efforts. He later helped with House Victory initiatives before moving on to lead and support campaigns at the local and statewide levels.
In 2017, Chris founded Statecraft Digital, a Florida-based digital media company supporting Democrats and progressive causes. Now operating in over 13 states, his firm has successfully contributed to more than 250 races nationwide, empowering candidates through innovative strategies. Having experienced campaigns from every angle, including as a volunteer, candidate, county party leader, statewide democratic strategist, and observer of political operations across multiple state parties, Chris brings a unique and comprehensive perspective to every campaign and project. His deep understanding of the political landscape positions him to be a vital asset for the DNC, ensuring Florida's voice is heard and its Democratic infrastructure is strengthened.
